Alabama Studio Style: Weekend Workshop @ The Factory

July 25 - 27, 2008: Sewing and Community

@ The Factory in Florence, Alabama

This weekend workshop allows participants to work directly in the new Alabama Chanin Studio @ The Factory in Florence, Alabama with Natalie, our in-house team, patterns & stencils. Participants will be creating a garment or piece of their choice from our Alabama Stitch Book or a selection from our archives. Materials, patterns, tips, treats and lots of stories included. This workshop is intended for participants with some basic hand-sewing experience.

**Note that more complicated pieces are extremely time consuming and most likely cannot be finished over the course of a weekend. We strive to offer a range of options that can be honed to every skill level and desire to provide a positive and rewarding experience.

$1125 includes materials plus welcome cocktail, lunch on Saturday and Sunday morning brunch. See below for information about our two Alabama Chanin Scholarship positions and our Stand-By Program for educators.

Stand-By Program:

We are proud to offer a new Stand-By Program to educators. Tuition is reduced to half-price when any educator takes an unfilled space less than two weeks before the beginning of a workshop.

Contact us here beginning July 11, 2008 for July Session – applications received before that time will not be considered. Applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Scholarships:

Alabama Chanin Scholarship for Alabama Stitch Workshop – includes workshop with materials and workshop meals – lodging and transportation separate.
