DETAILS The Keyhole Top is fitted at the bust and falls to the hip with a flared hem for a loose, A-line shape. In addition to its signature keyhole detail, this top has a center front and back seam, and binding at the neckline and armholes. Find details for each colorway in the carousel below. This top uses the 3D technique, a combination of whipstitch appliqué, reverse appliqué, beading, and outside knots. All of the techniques can be found in Alabama Studio Sewing + Design. A zero-waste design, it also uses scrap fabric for the rose appliqué and as the backing layer for reverse appliqué. The top layer and body of the garment are stenciled with the rose design to make the cutting and placement of the appliqué simple. Review the Kit Contents section of this description for tips on zero-waste techniques. As part of our Scrap Project, the kit also includes the fabric scraps from the cutting process. All kits are made-to-order.
