Alabama Chanin: Weekend Workshop @ The Factory
Sewing and Community with Natalie Chanin and the Alabama Chanin Team
This workshop allows participants to work directly in our Studio @ The Factory in Florence, Alabama with Natalie, our in-house team, patterns & stencils. Participants create a garment or project of their choice from our Alabama Stitch Book, our upcoming Alabama Studio Style or a selection from our archives.
Materials, patterns, tips, treats and lots of stories included. This workshop is intended for participants with some basic hand-sewing experience but beginners are welcome.
**Note that more complicated pieces are extremely time consuming and most likely cannot be finished over the course of a weekend. We strive to offer a range of options that can be honed to every skill level and desire to provide a positive and rewarding experience.
$1125 includes materials plus welcome cocktail on Friday night, lunch on Saturday and Sunday morning brunch.

Stand-By Program:
We are proud to offer a new Stand-By Program to educators. Tuition is reduced to half-price when any educator takes an unfilled space less than two weeks before the beginning of a workshop.
Scholarship:
One Alabama Chanin Scholarship is offered for each Weekend Workshop – includes the cost of workshop with materials and workshop meals – lodging and transportation separate.
Apply by telling us in 200 words or less why you should receive this scholarship.
Scholarship Applications are due two months before workshop and will be processed and announced a week later.
